Move-Out

Move-Out

End of Spring 2025

The residence halls will close completely at 10 a.m. on Saturday, May 3, and all residents must leave by this time. Graduating students may remain until 6 p.m. on May 3. Residents should check their Crimson email for up-to-date information on move out. Students living on campus during the interim session will be able to move directly from their spring assignment to the interim assignment without having to leave campus. More information will be provided prior to move out.

2025 Move-out Instructions

Students moving out between 8 a.m. – 8 p.m. should check-out with a Resident Advisor (RA).

  • April 16 – April 29: Students should coordinate with their floor RA to schedule a check-out time.
  • April 30 – May 3: Students should complete check-out at the RA desk located in the main lobby.

Students moving out after 8 p.m. should complete the Express Check-out form in the Housing portal. Please note that by choosing Express Check-out instead of checking out with an RA, students waive their right to dispute charges related to damages, left items, or cleanliness.

Moving Out Completely?

To Avoid Charges:

  • Take all belongings
  • Empty all drawers and closets
  • Clean and vacuum/sweep/mop the floor
  • Wipe down the bathrooms and kitchen in suite-style rooms
  • Take out the trash
  • Empty, clean and dry microfridge/refrigerator
  • Unbunk beds (if applicable)
  • Remove everything from the floors, walls, ceiling, etc.
  • Unplug all electrical appliances, turn the lights off, lock the windows, and shut the blinds
  • Turn heat/A/C unit to low
  • Check out with your RA once all belongings have been removed

Things to Remember:

  • UA collects and auctions all unclaimed bikes.
  • Donate gently used items to charity.
  • Use the area near the dumpsters to discard other unwanted items.
  • Moving carts are limited. We strongly suggest you bring your own dolly, if at all possible.
  • After you turn in your keys, you no longer have access to your room.

Review the list of damage charges for charges applied to your student account if your room has been damaged or furniture is damaged or missing.

Give and Go Donation Bins

Give & Go will allow you to donate any unwanted items beginning Tuesday, April 15. Note that there will be donation collection points in the area and on campus for items you no longer want but that perhaps others might be able to use.
